It all began with a Kodak Brownie....

 On a recent trip to Northumberland we stopped off at the Killhope Mining Museum in Weardale. Our last visit was about 30 years ago and we were interested to see what changes had been made. Unfortunately the wheel was shrouded in scaffolding so no pictures were possible but I have included a couple from our last trip. They had all facilities in those days. 

 Back in March I posted some pictures of Hadrians wall taken in the 1990s. After a recent visit I thought an update was due. These are taken along a short section of the wall and around Housesteads the Roman fort. The Roman wall can be seen snaking up the hillside on the right. All the pictures below are taken at Housesteads Fort.
