Norfolk coast near to Happisburgh.

Image
The east coast of England is crumbling into the North Sea at an alarming rate. In places elaborate and substantial sea defences are protecting the cliffs. On this bit of the Norfolk coast these consist of wooden walls which are designed to break the force of the waves before they reach the cliff base. There are many places where the defences have been allowed to rot and disintegrate as the cost of holding back the sea is so high. These pictures were taken in 2010 and it would be interesting to see where the cliff is now.  They were taken on Ilford XP2 35mm film.
