The Isle of Whithorn, part two

 Of course there is more to the village than the harbour. There are varied buildings which are mostly well cared for and some of which are brightly painted... but not all. 















...and there are good views of the Isle of Man too. More of that in a later blog.

Killhope Mining Museum

 On a recent trip to Northumberland we stopped off at the Killhope Mining Museum in Weardale. Our last visit was about 30 years ago and we were interested to see what changes had been made. Unfortunately the wheel was shrouded in scaffolding so no pictures were possible but I have included a couple from our last trip. They had all facilities in those days.
